$10,000 Queensland Building Boost Grant eligibility tester

The Queensland Government’s $10,000 Building Boost Grant is available to help you buy or build a new home in Queensland from 1 August 2011 to 30 April 2012.

Note: This eligibility tester is designed to help you determine if you are eligible for the grant. However, it does not replace the formal application and approval process.

Question 3

Between 1 August 2011 and 30 April 2012, will you do any of the following:

  • enter into a contract to purchase a new home

  • enter into a comprehensive building contract to have a new home built

  • commence building a new home as an owner builder

Note: A new home is a home that has not been previously occupied or transferred as a place of residence, or is a substantially renovated home.

Is the unencumbered value or consideration paid for the property less than $600,000?

  • Yes

  • No

    The grant only applies to property that is purchased or constructed for less than $600,000.

Will any person occupy the residence within 12 months of you owning it?
